Cool little blurb on Working for Good, FLOW, Jeff Klein, John Mackey and Zaadz in The Wall Street Journal yesterday.
A few months ago we sponsored Working for Good...Cool to see the WSJ picking it up! Here's a little blurb on it from my Summer Update:
Working for Good. We've committed 5% of our equity, 5% of our profits and 5% of our employees' time to support non-profits. That's why I'm really proud of our first “big” non-profit project we are sponsoring with our friends at FLOW. The idea behind Working for Good is to “liberate the entrepreneurial spirit for good”-teaching conscious capitalism to the next generation of entrepreneurs and showing how we can use business as a force for good in the world.
You can download the curriculum and check out the web casts of the class (John Mackey led the second day on “The Role of the Corporation” and I led the third day on “Areté & the Entrepreneur.” I think you'll dig it.
We plan to do A LOT more here and would love to hear your ideas about organizations and causes you would love for us to support.
