Thanks for the shout out, Sean.

Check out his awesome blog on integral, life and other such haps.

Sean gets it.

Check out this article he  references about "transcending and including" (a genius concept core to the Integral framework).

GREAT dialogue between Ken Wilber and Andrew Cohen. (...btw: we're advertising in the next issue of WIE...how cool is that?!?...fun...)

My take (and we actually talked to Ken about this when we hung out with him and the II crew in November): we've gotta empower the progressives (we call them "influencers") to influence the mainstreamers. The more inspired and empowered we can make the progressives/influencers--the ones on the ground in their local communities--the more likely we're gonna be able to affect the rest of the crew...

In terms of our specific change-the-world strategy: We're going to hit from a number of different angles, but the big one is economic (we like to call it  "conscious capitalism"---where people are conscious of how they're making their money AND how they're spending it...more on that later).

I believe we need to do everything in our power to help people who are the business of helping people actually make money (duh!). The more successful yoga teachers, life coaches, veggie restaurant owners and all other sorts of "conscious entrepreneurs" we can empower, the more likely they can transcend Maslow's most basic needs for mere survival and truly live nearer their highest potential--using their creativity to give their greatest strengths in the greatest service to the world. (again. formula: influencers influencing = good thing)

We're rolling out the core social networking tools for Zaadz over the next several weeks. From there, we're going to go off on business tools built specifically to help our conscious entrepreneurs build better businesses.

How? I like to say business is simple. It's all about relationships (isn't everything in life?). To the extent you, the business owner, can establish great relationships with your clients (your businesses most valuable asset, btw) such that they a) become regular lifetime customers and, b) tell their friends about you you will be (...surprise!) more profitable.

Apply it to a massage therapist's biz, a veggie restaurant, whatever...

Not rocket science. But, it's shocking to me how few small biz owners, ESPECIALLY those in the more spiritual/service oriented domains, actually put this into practice.

We think the web is the PERFECT vehicle through which a biz owner can deepen these relationships. And, we're confident our ZaadzPro community tools will be a perfect  resource. (and almost entirely free...I'll blog on how we're gonna make money later, too...shit I have a lot of blogging to do! :)

Alright. Enough rambling.

One more theme for a future post: capitalism is not evil and being poor is not cool. (That's gonna be a huge theme of our biz as well.)

Officially shutting up now.

Brilliant post, Sean.

Thanks for the support and let us know if we can ever help or if there's ever anything you'd like to see.

Namaste,

-bri

too funny. Yah, making money! My main focus on that front is helping people get paid to do what the love to do.

For the record: The science of happiness is pretty straightforward on the subject: you’ll be happy to the extent you use your strengths often. Do so for something bigger than you and you’ve got yourself a meaningful life.

So, the intention behind our business is to help people bring their “zaadz” to life–principally by knowing themselves well enough to create a life in which they’re paid to serve others doing what they love to do…

I’ll be coming back to this theme again and again…

Sounds like the theme I’m looking for!
